Since 1926, Huizen’s Furniture has been ‘a continuing tradition’ for quality home furnishings in the Grand Rapids area, offering transitional and traditional pieces.

In 1926, Bert Huizen Furniture Company opened for business at our current Burton Street location, specializing in upholstery with sofas and chairs made by Bert. His three sons, Bud, John and Roger oversaw the gradual transition to a furniture store. Four cousins, Gord, Craig, Bob and Mark were the next generation to be involved in the business.

Today, Todd Huizen, fourth generation operates Huizen’s Furniture.

Our sister store, Stonesthrow, offers a selection of contemporary furniture and accessories for the home. Located just North of Leonard on Plainfield Avenue.
